Below are some of the most commonly asked questions that we receive. These should help you fully understand how Pioneer Therapy Center operates.
Do you accept cash payments?
Yes– most of our clients use their insurance to pay for treatment, but we do have a cash rate.
Do you take credit and/or debit cards?
Yes– we are happy to accept all major credit cards.
How do I know if these treatments will be covered by my insurance?
You can contact your insurance company and ask about outpatient Occupational Therapy benefits. Insurance companies vary in how they cover Occupational Therapy services.
Do you keep in contact with my doctor during treatment?
Yes– your doctor will receive a copy of the Initial Evaluation Report and is asked to return a signed copy to our office for treatment to continue. We expect that you will attend treatment in accordance with the plan that is approved of by your doctor and as is monitored and adjusted by the therapist in order to remain in active treatment. Your doctor will be kept informed of your progress with periodic progress reports.
Do you take walk-in appointments?
Yes– we do accept walk-in appointments. You may need to use our waiting room, but we will be able to treat you in a timely matter.
How long does it take to make a custom splint?
All clients will receive their custom-made splint the same day as their appointment. Custom splints take approximately 30-45 minutes, from making a pattern to completion. A trial wearing period of approximately 15 minutes is completed at Pioneer Therapy Center.
